Current fishing activites and catches
Although I keep an Angling blog with catch reports, photos and stuff, on here is a record of what I am currently doing and where.
Mainly doing Piking at the moment (Winter 2006/7). Had two Pike from Woking on two visits, both low doubles. Had two trips to Twynersh Fisheries Complex earlier in the week but had nothing. I would reccomned this complex for its Bream, Roach, Tench and Carp. Its £12 a day.
I think for the coming new season I will be spending a bit more time on the river, mainly the Wey. What with the extra rain we’ve had it should be as good or better than last year.
| My Fishing background I have been Angling since I was 7, I started off watching my Dad, then he brought me a rod ‘n’ reel to use. I can’t remember my first fish, but the earliest memory is of catching a flat fish (I think) on the Thames when I was about 9. I went from Lakes to Rivers catching my first “real” fish, a 3lb Grayling.I then concentrated on the Hampshire Avon where we holiday. From there I have caught Grayling, Chub, Barbel, Roach, Dace and Eel. I had one of my best years in 1999 when I caught 3 Chub to 5lb 8oz and a 7lb Barbel on the same day. I also lost a double that day. | My Personnel Best Barbel – 8 1/2lb Hampshire Avon Private Water 2000Chub – 5lb 8oz Hampshire Avon Private Water 1999Pike – 18 1/2lb PaperCourt Gravel Pit Send (nr Woking) 1996ish
